Come visit us at The Museum of Military Memorabilia. Our Naples Municipal Airport location displays a just a fraction of the artifacts we have available. Here are some of our current showcases which highlight WWII Aviation.

2012 marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Naples Airport as a WWII Army Air Forces Training Base.

The Collier County Honor Flight Trilogy

and here’s where it all started

Collier County Honor Flight is an organization established to Transport America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices at no charge to them.

Collier County Honor Flight would not be successful without the generous support of our guardians. Guardians play a significant role on every trip, ensuring that every Veteran has a safe and memorable experience. Duties include, but are not limited to, physically assisting the Veterans at the airport, during the flight, and at the memorials. Guardians must pay their own way for the trip. Cost for Guardian is $400.00.

Collier County Honor Flight would not be successful without the generous support of our volunteers. Assistance is required from office, clerical and logistical support to airport assistance that aids the veterans both at the beginning and at the end of each trip. Please consider the wide range of opportunities to help recognize and thank our veterans.
Donations and Sponsors Greatly Appreciated.

Collier County Honor Flight volunteers with 50 WWII veterans went to Washington, DC to visit the WWII Memorial on April 26, 2014. This is a video of their return home at the Fort Myers Airport where they were greeted by fellow American’s lined up to honor these vets from the exit of the concourse all the way to the entrance doors of the terminal. This was very exciting experience and a pleasure to be there to honor them and I am sure it is a day they won’t forget.
