This is a re- post from last year as we haven’t had one yet in 2016
Collier County Honor Flight is part of a larger group of Patriots that are working very hard to send our Heroes of the Greatest Generation and also those that fought in Korea and Vietnam,
This is a new film about that Mission, in regards to the Collier County Honor Flight , I have personally seen these Men and women at 4 in the Morning at Naples Airport gathering for the instructions and then travelling by police escort to RSW in Ft Meyers to meet the rest of the Veterans and board their private, Collier County Honor Flight , Chartered plane to see Their Memorial and all the others .
Most are excited, but still not really taking in what is about to happen on this Collier County Honor Flight . Then when I arrive at RSW at about 10 pm later the same day to great the Collier County Honor Flight , I see thousands of people, all ages, young, older all just wanting to hoop and holler and welcome all these Heroes back from Washington and it is quite a scene. If you haven’t seen for yourself, what are you waiting for?. There are more Collier County Honor Flights, already scheduled for this year and those dates will be posted on this website and Facebook.
Donations to this very worthy cause are always accepted, it takes alot of great things to happen to pull this off and Dr. Debi Strand and Sean Lux along with a tight core of Volunteers work tirelessly to make it all happen. Please help support the Collier County Honor Flight , What a Great Cause.
And hats off to all of the people that Have our Veterans in their thoughts cause just think about it for a second. Where would we be as a Country if we would have not stopped Hitler and The Japanese in WW2 this whole planet would be different and not in a good way. always remember that. and Thank a Vet Today
Here’s where it all started.
COLLIER COUNTY HONOR FLIGHT
FLYING NOVEMBER 09, 2013
WWII AND KOREAN WAR VETERANS WANTED
Collier County Honor Flight is an organization established to Transport America’s veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices at no charge to them.
Collier County Honor Flight would not be successful without the generous support of our guardians. Guardians play a significant role on every trip, ensuring that every Veteran has a safe and memorable experience. Duties include, but are not limited to, physically assisting the Veterans at the airport, during the flight, and at the memorials. Guardians must pay their own way for the trip.
Collier County Honor Flight would not be successful without the generous support of our volunteers. Assistance is required from office, clerical and logistical support to airport assistance that aids the veterans both at the beginning and at the end of each trip. Please consider the wide range of opportunities to help recognize and thank our veterans.
Donations and Sponsors Greatly Appreciated. Please Support Collier County Honor Flight

Collier County Honor Flight volunteers with 50 WWII veterans went to Washington, DC to visit the WWII Memorial on April 26, 2014. This is a video of their return home at the Fort Myers Airport where they were greeted by fellow American’s lined up to honor these vets from the exit of the concourse all the way to the entrance doors of the terminal. This was very exciting experience and a pleasure to be there to honor them and I am sure it is a day they won’t forget.
