Come visit us at The Museum of Military Memorabilia. We have thousands of military artifacts from all branches of the Military. The Museum is located in the Naples Municipal Airport which was originally built by the Army Corps of Engineers to train pilots for the pacific theater in WWII.

What has begun as a Museum Honoring Military Aviation in WWII has evolved into so much more. You can now see historical artifacts dating back to the Revolutionary War and all the way up to the present day Iraq & Afghanistan conflicts.

2012 marked the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Naples Airport as a WWII Army Air Forces Training Base.

Air Assault Japanese Mainland, take the time to watch this authentic live footage clip of the air assault on the Japanese mainland, just before A-Bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

Just think of 600 B-29s all taking off to bomb Japan at one time.

This is video from the color film archives . This is spectacular live footage of the 3,000 round trip mile air assault upon the Japanese mainland, with 3 bomber wings and a host of P-51’s. The P-51 & B29 footage is remarkable. The strafing runs by the P-51 pilots were incredible . There are several break as the film canisters are changed, which appear as short pauses.

All in all it is very well done considering this film is from WW2 and in color, and parts are in Combat.

This is a thorough pilot’s view introduction to the premier bomber of World War II, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress..Faster than a Zero fighter, it represents the peak of piston engine era technology, with remote controlled gun turrets, a heavy bomb load and a pressurized cabin. The B-29 was the primary weapon used in the US Army Air Force’s long range attacks on targets in the Air Assault Japanese Mainland. This is also the aircraft that dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
